Fishing Report
April 15th- Spawn is on and fish are being caught mostly on the dam.  Speed trolling along the face of the dam and casting horizontally from the rocks of the dam are working well.  Primarily using stick baits in gold, black or chartreuse are working well.
This time of year Walleyes are easily snagged while trying too catch them the conventional way-use your own morals to decide whether or not to keep them........

April 28th-There are a few Walleye left spawning, mostly males though.  The big push is over though and a few Walleyes are being taken in the main lake now using live bait.

Memorial Weekend-Fishing is tough, very few Walleyes being caught right now.  Water is on the rise and there is alot of cover in the form of submerged trees, this along with the very cold and rising water is making it challenging to catch fish.

June 1st- Walleye fishing remains very tough, but there are lots of white bass being caught everywhere, Wiper fishing is also going very with fish up to 13lbs being caught so far.

June 26th-Walleye fishing is picking up in the shallow water (6 feet or so).  White Bass are still going hot everywhere in the lake as well as the Wipers.
It seems that the walleye bite is about 2-3 weeks behind, my opinion is that with the warmer weather of Summer here, the walleye bite will continue to get better.
June 28th-Wiper fishing slowed a little but White Bass are still going strong.  Walleye fishing is still steadily getting better with bites all over the lake,  North Shore and Lemoyne as well as in front of Vans have been going strong.

July16th-Walleye fishing has been good-not great.  But good enough to be allowing us to catch daily limits with a little work, most have been caught in front of North Shore, and Lemoyne on the  North Side of the Lake live baiting and trolling.  On the South side the Vans area has been producing as well with the same method.  Trolling the flats on the West end continues to produce fish as well.  Note-when you find one go right back to it, there are small groups of fish that are active and if you find one there are more than likely others.  So stay on 'em when you find em'!!
